1998 ML 320 - Engine light on and off
I have 41K miles and.. my check engine light goes on sometimes and then it goes off.
I am taking the car in for a diagnosis. Anyone else have this problem. :confused: :eek: |
Other than emission-related component failure, the easy things to look for are:
1. Have you recently fueled up with 87-grade octane? 2. Did you close the gas cap firmly (three twists followed by that ratchety "click")? |
I would assume, everytime your CEL goes on, the ECU should log a fault code in memory.
A scan of the ECU should reveal what the intermittent problem was ( is ). |
