I'm about to do a Front Brake job on my 300 TDT. What does Mercedes recommend for repacking the wheel bearings. I am planning on doing it, just for the heck of it, but did not see any mention of it in your brake job artical. I am second owner and the car has 150,000 miles. No evidence of leakage of bearing noise.
Also, the indicator light has just started to flicker and I have looked at the pads. All is wearing evenly and I have my order in with you guys, pending grease seal P/N's. Is it neccessary to change the sensors or is this only required after ignoring the light for weeks and weeks? Thanx in advance! ------------------ Deezel 87 300TDT 150,000 miles |

On the 124 chasis, the front wheel bearings last a long, long time. I'd not go there, you may disturb something and make matters worse. Just replace the pads and sensors, and possibly the rotors if needed.
