Need some help
 

83' 500SL 117.962

I'm replacing the front radial seal.

The cd says to remove the harmonic balancer, hub, and v-belt pulley as a unit. I have it loose but the harmonic balancer hits againts the back of the mounting bracket for the A/C compresser belt tensioner. This appears to be one unit that also holds the compressor itself, it goes back to the side of the engine and I can't see any way to remove it.

Have I missed something? The CD makes no mention of having to remove any of these parts.

I have the radiator out so I have access.

If anyone has any experience with this I would really appreciate a response.
