took off the filter housing and found throttle body dirty and cleaned it. what about the inside under the cover plate? it is safe to spray carb cleaner in it? thanks for reply

You can deflect the plate downward with the key off and clean. Do not use too much, if the engine got a big gulp, it could liquid lock.
