w140 alignment question

This one has got me stumped. Last night I put a new set of 2001 S class wheels on my W140. They look great but the car has started to pull hard to the right. I switched the old tires (not really old, less than 8K miles) onto the new rims and balanced. The tech was very careful to put the tires back in their original location on the vehicle. The car drove perfectly straight before the switch so I can not figure out why it has started pulling. There is no irregular tire wear and I checked the tire pressure on all the tires and it is at 35 PSI all the way around. Any ideas on what would make this car pull? Also, if I need an alignment does it require a four wheel and what is everyone paying for this service?

Thanks for the help!!

interesting point...

i have the same but reverse....

I had pulling problems before tyre change but after a new set, it was perfect.

also no uneven wear!!

I get nervous when I even rotate tires. I've found with heavier cars that each tire (especially performance tires) develop a "personality". When anything changes, such as rotation, new wheels etc, expect a different response.

Might have to bite the bullet and go for new tires..at least for the front.

Thanks for the replies

The tires are practically new. Less than 8K miles and 12 months old. I may try rotating the tires side to side tonight and see if that helps things at all.

We'll see.....

Thanks for the advice guys...Problem fixed

I simply swapped the front wheels around and the problem is gone. Straight as an arrow now. Dealer said something about "radial pull" and suggested I try the swap. Oh well, it seems to have worked.

Thanks!

Front brake work and new tie rod

I just had my front brake pads done, and also the drivers side upper and lower tie rod replaced. My car used to coast straight as an arrow, but now it pulls severely to the right...I think Im going to try and switch the two front wheels...maybe the tech accidentally got the two switched when he was doing the brake job. Thanks....Its worth a try...
