2. Where would I look for the TPS (throttle position sensor)
3. Is there a way to run a diagnostics on this car?

Is there a way to run a diagnostic test on the 87 420 SEL?

1: Left front fender well

2: On the throttle shaft

Okay now that I have some answers I need a little more info as to how you run the diagnostics on the 87 420 SEL? Is there a tool that I can build on my own? I have heard a few of the people on this board that have built their own tool. And is there an area to tell me what these codes mean? I appreciate all the help I can get to diagnose my problems of stumbling!
