W126 steering lock replacement

380SE -85 has a worn out ignition tumbler. Purchased new tumbler with new key from dealer (vin matched). I decided to pay now and purchased also new steering lock, new lock cover, and ignition switch. Made a massive search and found that tumbler replacement is not a problem.

My question would be: is the W126 steering lock+switch replacement DIY?? I think I should remove instrument cluster, and the lock+switch can then be replaced through the cluster hole. Am I correct with this? Thanks for your help.
