unsmooth acceleration from stop 99 clk320
 

When leaving a stop, I am unable to cause the car to initially accelerate smoothly. The car jerks as though the initial millimeters of accelerator movement are not recognized by the fuel injection system and then the first thing the system understands is, woa, this guy has his foot a good ways into the pedal, lets go! The boys at MB say no errors are stored in the computer. Anyone have imput? Thanks, Mike.

How is your ignition ?
Ignition problems ( sparkplugs, etc. ) usually show up on " tip - in ", as the voltage requirements at this point are fairly high. ;)
