Removing Oil Pan
Ok, I'm trying to remove my oil pan on my 88 300E to change the gasket. I have already undone all of the screws and bolts that attach the lower oil pan to the engine, but now I've run into some trouble. I can't get the stinkin' OIL PAN OUT! I've already removed the front sway bar so that isn't the problem, but something else is keeping me from getting pan out. Whether its the components in the oil pan or the frame of the car, I don't know. Is it possible to remove the oil pan with out lifting the ENGINE?!?!?!?!?!?!?

Probably not. On a '95 S-class, the engine has to be raised a little.

Emphatic no.
Unless Steve or Donnie or Gilly comes along... Sixto 91 300SE 87 300SDL 83 300SD |
You will have to raise the engine.
Good luck, |
The MB manuel says you must raise the engine on the 124 model to remove oil pan. Good luck...........
