slk alarm
just bought a slk 230 98 I had the top down today and thought I would test the alarm. AFter arming(button on dash blinked) I walked to the car and pulled on the inside handle. Just the likghts flashed, with no sound.....Does anyone know how to make it sound? I replaced the pse pump unit in the trunk due to moisture already and that fixed the locking. Any ideas on this new issue? Thanks.

Make sure the new PSE pump is correctly version coded.

slk alarm
I spoke with dealer today, he said that the pse pump and the alarm are not related, but he will look at it and program if necessary.... Is this true that they aren't related?? Or am I getting stiffed.

The PSE is the ATA control unit on your car. Among other things, it needs to be programmed for the national version (USA), and whether it has an alarm siren or a horn. Your car has a siren. Good luck
