Does anyone know the years when Sportline front seats changed shape my car is a 92 and as a flat seat base ,but my freind as a 89 and his front seats have bigger seat bolsters like a 16V seat. Was this an option or did the flater seat superseed the early type. Cheers Linds

I'll have to do some digging on this one. My "guesstimate" is that there were problems with the width of MB owner's butts (at least here in the US) which does make the Sportline seats somewhat uncomfortable. MB did have an "orthopedic" seating option from early on, so perhaps the seat configuration was an option. In Europe, the sportline seats had different colored inserts, different for each of the four seats in the same car.
