Intermittent turn signal function
 

Getting intermittent turn signal function on an '84 500 SL.
Is it a bad relay and if so, where would it be located?

i'm no techy and don't know your model so don't hold your breath, but i had turn signal/hazard light problems and it turned out to be a broken hazard light switch, not relay. i popped a new switch in and now everything works fine. however, for your info, the relay on my car was housed under the gearbox cover jsut ahead of the hazard switch. since so many of these cars are basically the same i wouldn't be surprised if yours is there too.
