1986 560SEL electricial problem
 

Okay... theres no power to well anything that I can find. What are the things i should check in order?

ps.. your talking to a MB newbie.

May be you already have checked but I will start with Battery, check the voltage on it. If you get the 12v then move on to Fuses.
Could be a bad ground, broken cable. It could be no. of things but Start with basics like battery, fuses etc.

With the ign. switch off, turn on your head lights. Do they work? If so, then at least some of the battery is left. If not, your problem is a dead battery.

If you have headlights and nothing when your turn the key in the ign. switch, ensure that your alarm is not the problem. Some after- market type alarms have a toggle switch that can sometimes get tripped accidentally.
