Are there better headlight bulbs available
for the car than the H-5 bulbs. I have used much better halogen headlamps than these on BMW motorcycles, but they used H-4 bulbs with 100W high beams. These seem to allow only 65W. Any suggestions? ------------------ |
How much do ya want to spend? You could swap to the "euro" setup for a couple hundred. It should improve things somewhat. Or you might consider a Xenon (HID) upgrade kit. It runs about $1000. I would avoid higher wattage bulbs plugged into the stock assembly. They can melt the stock assembly and cause allot more problems than they are worth.
Hope this helps....Lee |
I have been using 80/100 watt bulbs and they have worked well in my 300E. No melting problems at all, the harness seems to be the same wonderful mercedes quality as other parts. I have some random brand, but I recommend the PIAA superwhite bulbs, my friend has them in his Alfa and they are quite an improvement. They cost about $75 a pair, and can be found at most import auto stores or online.
