Replace fuel filler neck grommet on 84 300TD turbo?

Can anyone tell me how to replace the fuel filler neck grommet on the '84 300TD? When I was filling up the other day I noticed that it looks worn (well, worse than worn, it looks like it's starting to peel away) so I got another one, but the Chilton's and Haynes manuals don't say how to replace it...
