Catalytic converter for a diesel? Not exactly original equipment but I was exploring the emissions of diesel engines. I did find a manufacturer of catalytic converters designed for diesel engines (CleanAir Systems, Inc). I'd like to know if anyone has any experience or knowledge of these devices or should I forget it.

Since 1995 the E300D used an oxidization catlyst & in 1987 diesels used Trap oxidators & they have refitted to later versions like E300D.

You don't say what year and model car, but if you are thinking about a custom retro fit in the name of ecology, I would not recommend it.

I have an 85 300TDT. I was thinking about a custom retro fit but I think it would be more trouble than it is worth. Thanks for the feeback.
