Rear View Mirror Loose in it's mount

How do you remove the rear view mirror?

It currently is loose in the front of the mount and is flopping around.

How to remove, install and tighten the mirror??

In our 190, the mirror removes with hefty tug - strong springs keep it snapped in. When our mirror stalk was loose in its attachment to the mirror body, due to a loose inaccessible screw, I drilled a small hole through the diameter of the shaft and internal mirror peg, and tapped in a slightly larger diameter nail as a pin. Cut to size and filed smooth, it has worked without a hitch.
