leak from sunroof
my 300e has a leak which I believe comes from the sunroof drainage line, it only leaks in heavy rain and never whilst travelling. the leak appears on the trim at the top of the door and then drips onto floor........ My question ,how do you replace the drainage line..... I was thinking of trying to put a tube down the old one and hopefully block off the rusted section to try and stop the leak. The leak is at the passenger side front. Any suggestion will be gratefully recieved.

I have a 300E and I have had the sunroof out a few years ago but I don't recall much about the drain. I would do this: open sun roof and pour water down the drain to see if the leak occurs as a consequence. If so then you can find out what it will take to fix the drain pipe or you can experiment with the hose with a length long enough to bypass the leaky section... assuming pipe is not somehow disconnected near the leak. I would avoid the hose however... after all the car is a Benz/
