I currently have a good source for Xenon take off headlights for 140 S class mercedes. These were removed by the dealership and are original equipment. Aside from the headlamp assemblies themselves, would I need anything else to fit them to my 1993 500SEL? I don't assume the wiring is "plug and play" and the seller has told me that for another $300 or so he can get me all the "stuff" I need to install it...I assume that means the ballast/leveling parts? If anyone has any information on this, please let me know. Thank you.

You will need a control unit, wire harness, and auto leveling system. You will also need the glass and lenses. Are you sure that you want to get into this??? I am a tech, and I can assure you that if my car didn't come with it, I would not attempt the update.

Benzmac, those OEM Xenon lights, don't they already include auto-leveling, lense and reflector???

I think Chris accesses a set of OEM, take-off Xenon for W140, not just plan, aftermarket ones....
