HELP! cannot open hood!
 

car is a 1990 190E

I cannot open the hood with the hood-release latch! I just got back from outside trying to jimmy the the hood by using a long screwdriver abd poke it through the grille. I see the cable that connects to the hood-release mechanism, but I do not know where to place the screwdriver! I am getting very frustrated and bummed out! Does anyome have any tricks when this happens????

is the cable broken? if not you can take the inside handle apart and use a plier to pull the cable. if broken you have to use the screwdriver bit. loooong screwdriver. push lower lever part from
passenger side to driver side.
