Car Alignment/what now?

I recently purchased a 88 190E with no major immediate problems, or so it seemed. On the way home from a hard day's work, I noticed that the car's steering was a little off to the left. I immediately made an appointment for an alignment which is scheduled for Saturday, but since then, I've noticed EXTREMELY loud noise from the right tires. I'm also getting my brakes done, because they are overdue for new pads. Will an alignment and brake pads solve my problem?

Will:

Depends on what is wrong. Did you check the tire pressure? A low tire will cause the pull, too, and will get noisy when it gets really low.

A belt coming apart in the tire will do the same thing, especially if it is separated on one side only. Tire tends to track funny when it has a larger diameter on one side than on the other.

Belt separation is also usually accompanied by various rumbling, roaring, or slapping sounds and considerable vibration.

I took the car to be checked out once again today. The mechanic said the wheel bearings are shot. Atleast it's not as bad as I thought it was going to be.:p

Bad wheel bearings will do that! At least it's an inexpensive fix.
