I just bought a 1984 280GE LWB in great shape (it even passed NJ's new, enhanced vehicle emissions test), but it does have a few problems that I'd like to fix -- one of which is that, with no trailer hooked up, the turn signal indicator (the one for a trailer) improperly blinks when I signal left, but (properly) doesn't blink when I signal right (the car's own lights' indicator, in the speedometer, properly works with both right and left signaling). Any ideas where I can begin looking for this problem's cause? Thanks.

Oops, I forgot to add (to the post) that my G has a trailer harness hooked up (it looks like the standard European type, with 7 contacts (a row of three males, with two females above and two more below). Thanks again.

It sounds as if the wire that sends that power back to the light is hitting the other wire somewhere in the harness. Where? who knows.
