260E SRS Light Blinking
 

Tonight, on my commute home, my SRS light came on for 2 seconds then off for 10 seconds, then on for two seconds. This little light show happened at least twice during the drive.

Am I about to get smacked in the face with a bag?


I assume this is a diagnostic code for some situation. Could someone tell me what it means?

I have a 91 350SDL and it just exhibited the same symptoms that you described and I too was worried that the Air Bag was going to depoly while I was driving the car. Can anyone out there explain what might cause this problem? PLEASE!!!!!!!!!

When the light is on, the bag in unarmed, I believe. Most likely, you have a broken connection in the system somewhere - probably in the steering wheel brushes which wear over time. Does the light turn off if you jerk the wheel?

Mine only comes on while I'm on a long straight stretch of road.....

If it's the brushes, do you know what partnumbers I need to replace?
