320CE (W124) Throttle return Spring
 

Guys,

I need to get to the return spring on my 93 320CE. I can't see it on the mechanism where it joins the Transmission cable, so it must be somewhere out-of-sight.

It looks like a lot of the top of the engine needs to come off to get at it (inlet manifold etc..etc..etc)......

Anyone done this? Is there an easy way?

There's a diagram of the assembly on page 4C.2 I could scan it and email it to you but that would breach copyright law and anyway I don't know your email address! But you could contact me through the forum. If you're around Dorking this weekend I could show you

The spring is between the transmission cable and the engine, hidden below the rear section of the inlet manifold. There seems to be another one on the bracket to which the accelerator cable attaches.
