Side trim molding for 123
 

One of my side molding pieces fell off of my door. I got new little red buttons for re-attaching it but can't seem to get the black clips on the molding to lock into the red buttons in the door. Is there a trick to this or is my molding piece tweaked so that it doesn't follow the contours of the door correctly.

What bit of trim are you referring to,the chrome strip?

It the side molding that is midway down the door, I believe it is rubber with a chrome insert.

Try applying short sharp pressure with the flat of your hand when spigot is in red platic grommet.
