Hi everyone!
I have a MB 250C 69'er. The rear tail lights in my car are ribbed although they should be smooth...Does anyone know is the opening for the ribbed/smooth rear lights the same? I'm planning to change them, but do I have to change the whole tail light unit, or only the coverage? One guy offered me the smooth tail light covers (incl. crome) for about 60$, but he doesn´t know if they fit... Thanks for a very nice site! ![]() Janne Soini (from snowy Finland) MB 250 C (2.8) -69 |

I'll give you my thoughts based on my '67 230SL. My lights were red with a horizonal rib. Swithing to the "newer" smooth lenses requires replacing the entire tail light unit. By the way, you might try posting this on the vintage board and get a more knowledgable response. Also if your ribed lens are in good condition, they are in demand and can be sold on eBay.
