My 1984 300SD seems like it may be sitting too low, but I'm not sure. What is the spec'd height for this car as measured from the bumper or frame, etc? Also, if it is sitting low, couldn't it be raised with rubber spring pads, not necessarily needing to purchase 4 coil springs?

If you have the 3 ribs on your pads, they are the thickest ones. You will have to replace the springs. I have seen many sag after a # of years.
