Hello,
Can anyone tell me how to distinguish Leather seats vs. MB-Tex on a '83 300SD? I have looked at a number of these cars and noticed that some have the "pleats" on the seat bottom that go all the way to the front edge of the seat. Others seem to have a "smooth" front portion with only the rearward half being pleated. Which is MB-Tex and which is leather? Is this what distinguishes the two? Also, what type of wood was on the interior of these cars? I know the difference between Burl & Zebrano and know what they look like, but what came standard on a 300SD? (1983 model) Thanks Neal |
