'85 300 E--won't roll over
 

My buddie asked me to take a look at his '85 300 D for him. He thought it's was the starter so we got the parts and went to go get it going-2 hours away. Well that wasn't it. The car seems ok when you turn it on to let the glow plugs warm up but there is nothing going to the engine. Like a relay or groung maybe. If I could get any help on this I would Be greatful. Wiring diagrams or relay locations...anything.

The first item I would check is the battery. How old? Does it have water? Can you get a volt ohm meter on it and measure it?

Check the battery cables at the non-battery side of connection for corrosion.
