Parts Help Please (UK Only)
 

Hi all,

I am after some advice on where to purchase the following parts for my 1989 500SEL. MOT failure

I need :-

Right hand side front downpipe
Centre exhaust (next piece back from downpipes 2 in, 2 out)
Prop shaft coupling rubbers

These parts are so exspensive, does anyone know a company who sells them cheap ?

You can try Mercman in Southampton. They are a ... Mercedes breakers. Eurocarparts may do exhaust pieces. Parts are expensive but they last a very long time. Unless you are planning to keep the car for a year or so I'd recommend OE.

Also try www.gsfcarparts.com they have dealerships all over the Kingdom. I always stop at one of their stores when I am in the UK. Their website is a little flaky sometimes, they only just recently went web and they're still working out the bugs I guess.

Eurocarparts does sell exhaust parts. They're prices do seem reasonable to me. ANy of you UK members know much about Mercedes commerical vans? If so, send me a PM so I can ask you some questions.

I reccommend Mercman too - he's VERY knowledgable, and prices are ok too. Best going with someone who know the marque, than a store that "can stock what you want"...
