Kick Panel

Hi all:
I want to change the kick panel on my 87 16v to the non airbag style (without the huge bulge at the knee area to prevent the non belted driver from sliding under and close to an airbag). Is this a direct swap? I have a kick panel from a 1984 stick shift non airbag 190e.
