W124 300TE Speaker Replacement on the Cheap!
I have a '88 300TE that has rotted speakers. The Rainbow speakers are nice but $320-$350 was a bit much. I determined that I needed 120mm in the Dash and 100mm in the two rear doors of the Wagon.
So after a lot of reading I found these Carpower speakers that I "hoped" would fit. I live in the US, getting Metric speakers is pretty much non-existent. The local car stereo guys would be happy to butcher some in for me, but I didn't want to go that route with inch sized speakers "cut in". I found a place dealing them, they were $89 shipped Fedex Air to the US. $38 of this was the shipping. The speakers use the same mounting tab system as the original MB speakers, so they just snap in! I ordered them from Europe-Audio dot com. They were fast shipping, got them in like 5 days after placing the order. Hope this helps someone!

Good find on the speakers. Which ones went in the dash, the 101s or the 120s?
