When driving home from work today the warning light for low oil level came on. I stopped at the nearest gas station to buy some more oil. Before I filled it up I checked the oil level, and it was about 1 centimeter above the "min" mark. May this have done some damage to the engine? Oil pressure was as normal (3 when driving, between 2 and 3 at idle).
The car has run about 7000 km since last oil change, and I have never had more oil in it since that. Is such oil consumptioning normal? Whats the amount of oil between "min" and "max"? BTW, the car is a 1985 190E 2.0 |
