My TE has started to frequently make a couple of noises from the passenger side rear of the car.
When I get in the car, after it's been sitting overnight I can hear a loud ping noise. Sometimes when the car is put in reverse there is snap noise. The car is going in for it's 3K mile oil change and to have a front shaft boot replaced so any insight would be appreciated! Regards …tracy |

Be sure to have the driveshaft flex discs checked. Once worn, they will make noise. Also have the differential mounts checked.

Have the joint checked located at the lower rear control arm where it mounts to the hub. This joint has a rubber boot and most likely there is much rust under the boot causing this ball type joint to make a noise like you discribed.
