Part ID w/picture
 

The part in the picture just fell off my car. It hit the ground on the drivers side of the car. near the front corner. Inboard of the front tire. It may have come from else where due to the fact that there is a ground effects panel under the engine and it may have bounced around for a bit before falling out. Tha part was very clean when it hit the gound. No grease, dirt to speak of with the excption of a tiny bit of (could be grease) on middle picture top right side. The number on the part is 484.846. It is off of a 1987 190e 2.3-16 euro market.

It does not look to important but with my luck, it holds the whole car together.

I think I know what it's from. I think it might be out of the headlight wiper motor. Can anyone confirm that by the part number?
