I HAVE EXAMINED THE BUSHINGS ON MY CAMBER STRUTS, PULLING AND PUSHINGS STRUTS AND THERE APPEARS TO BE SOME WEAR. IS IT POSSIBLE TO HAVE SOMEONE GIVE ME AN BENCHMARK IDEA TO SEE HOW MUCH WEAR/PLAY IS ACCEPTABLE. ALSO I WILL BE REPLACING THE REAR SUBFRAME MOUNTS BECAUSE THE WEAR IS APPARENT. IS THERE ANY THING I SHOULD LOOK OUT FOR WHEN PERFORMING THIS PROCEDURE?
ALSO I AM CONTEMPLATING A DRIVESHAFT SWAP DUE TO WEAR IN THE U-JOINT. A DRIVE SHAFT FROM A 1986 190E 2.3 8V AUTOMATIC IS AVAILABLE. I'M ASLO THINKING ABOUT SWAPPING THE STEERING GEAR FROM THE 2.3 IF IT'S A DIRECT SWAP. DOES ANYONE KNOW IF THIS A DIRECT INTERCHANGE TO A 1900 190E 2.6 AUTOMATIC. BY THE WAY THE CAR IS A 1990 190 2.6 AUTO WITH 180,000K.

Many rebuild shops can replace the u-joint. I would have it done. On the rear links, if there is play in them, they should be replaced. When new, they are very tight.
