How to patch a locking system air line?
The air line that goes to the trunk for the lock got cut and now leaks. All the locks still work but air escapes from the line. I tried tape but it doesn't work.

Use a 2-3 inch piece of rubber vacuum line. Make sure it is a tight fit for the hard plastic vacuum line you'll be splicing, lube the rubber and slip the ends of the hard line in. All patched.

Note too that a leaky line can allow the vacuum/pressure pump to continue to run, eventually causing it to fail. Don't delay repair.

go to a junk yard and pull out one of those lines form some scraped benz. I have a few meters of it sitting at home, plenty to fix any broken lines.
no money involved unless the junk yard owner is a prick. xp |
Another trick is to splice a brass connector...the same used to attach mechanical oil pressure gauge fittings. You can get one at any auto parts store for a couple of bucks...;)
