Looking to purchase a 1996-1998 e320 or 1997 e420. Prices in my area range from $35,000-$45,000. Looking for feedback from drivers/owners of the above. Has anyone driven both, what sort of performance difference did you feel (I've read up on the #'s but would love actual feedback). Any additional tips/pointers specific to these cars? Did both models offer the AMG package as an option from the factory?

Also considering a 2000 Jaguar S. Convince me to buy the Merc!
