I've asked this question before, but it was buried in other topics and not answered. Here goes one last time:

Does the OM606 engine have the same EGR design flaw as the 3.5 liter 603, causing carbon deposits to get sucked in and bend rods?

I have not seen it YET... I have heard of the vacuum pump coming apart and falling in the timing chain. When this happened, the engine self destructed.
