Anyone know about a 1960 190D 4 door. I've found one for $3600 in paper. Looks good and is of interest to me (currently own 1987 300D)
Are parts available still???? Any owner experience appreciated ------------------ |
If you are looking to to buy one of the early "pontoons" (sp?) then look for the pontoon mbz page. I have a 61 190 b-series. I love the car but got in over my head. It has a bunch of hidden rust in the passenger area and in the engine compartment by the battery. Check these cars carefully for rust! There seem to be some used parts available from private parties.
Lots of luck. Mark. |
I drove a 1962 190Db for around five years. I have driven a Porsche for the last 15. That probably sums up my feelings on the subject.
Parts are probably available from MB for mechanical. I doubt that they provide door seals anymore. The car was much harder to work on than later versions such as the 190/200Dc. ------------------ Steve Brotherton Owner 24 bay BSC Bosch Master, ASE master L1 26 years MB technician |
