Best Synthetic ATF for w126?

What is the best synthetic automatic transmission fluid for W126 cars, especially a 1989 420 SEL? Are there several OK brands? Has anyone used the Canadian Tire brand ATF in w126 car. Should I just stick with the MB brand?

don't bother with synthetic, if you like, you can use Allison TranSynd from your local Allison/Detroit Diesel distributor. I just use Chevron ATF.

Mobil 1 synthetic ATF. Works great, it's thinner than dino oils cold, so will eliminate the sloppy cold shifting. Has done wonders for the 280!
