Car: 1987 300SDL (W126.125) w/auto climate control.
Here's one you've heard before: My AC compressor keeps kicking in on "EC" cycle. It's a new compressor (10K) and the car's third one. If it was just that simple, I'd replace the module. However, I can get it to turn off by firmly pushing in on the EC or Off buttons. After a while, it will come back on again, along with the blower. Do I need a new module, or new buttons? Please advise. Tom Kanis 87 300SDL "Ubercar" 123K |
The buttons are part of the push button control unit. Sounds like a good possibility thats your problem.

These pushbutton control units are being rebuilt now. I think that we have them in the partsshop.

Follow-Up:
Replaced the module (from the Parts Shop, natch). AC is now at my command! Tom Kanis |
