The sunroof switch on my '89 300E suddenly operates strangely. The "forward" position will not move the panel forward from the most rearward position, this requires pushing the switch to the "tilt" podition. When the panel is tilted, only pushing the switch to the rear will lower it.
I recently replaced the radio antenna, in the fender next to the sunroof, so this is suspicious. Can anyone recommend how to diagnose this, a new switch didn't fix it?

It sounds as though you may have hit the timing wheel (located on the sunroof motor). It will send the roof out of phase. You should go to a good tech who knows how to re-time this.
