Greetings-
Just spent the morning at my local MB service center. This was the second time I went there to correct a low coolant warning. I told them about the faulty washer sensor and they said they would replace it. Got the car back drove home (stupid me) and opened the hood. Seems like the senson wasn't cannged (there was dirt on top of the connector and the part. To make matters worse, they added anti-freeze without a funnel and spilled it all over the engine bay without cleaning it up. Am I pissed? You Bet! Anyway, instead of dealer bashing, how about telling us about some really good MB service/dealers-especially in NY. I'm beginning to think that I have to drive to BENZMAC got the the car fixed right! I don't know your area, but I know an excellent tech running a small operation in Mahopac NY. His name is Tim Lena and his business is called Automotion. His number is 1-914 278 0567.
He belongs to the same tech group as I do. For the longest time I thought he was a MB specialist as his technical answers were so good. Turns out he just happens to be one of the smartest general techs I know. I wasn't going to recommend him till I saw your other cars; not because of his lack of skill but because he works on many other vehicles. If he is close enough I give him a five star rating. (for honesty and technical expertise....I have never seen his business) ------------------ Steve Brotherton Owner 24 bay BSC Bosch Master, ASE master L1 26 years MB technician [This message has been edited by stevebfl (edited 05-22-2000).] |
