Are you kidding? I never take your advice for granted...

Matt

Matt-
You've got a good point.
I'm going to change the wording from "now taken for granted" to "now expected".

I do think the MercedesShop members expect prompt and accurate advice from Benzmac and the other Techs but this level of service is really appreciated and certainly not taken for granted.

Thanks for reading the MB Autowerks page and giving us some feedback.

Excellent! I've been looking for a place to take my cars for service, where I can trust the mechanics. Now if I can only figure out how to get my cars to you....

MikeTangas 05-26-2000 01:37 AM

Not just appreciated, but VERY APPRECIATED.

I'm here because Benzmac suggested it on the alt.auto.mercedes newsgroup. I was asking a question, but not getting much in the way of informative responses. Donnie replied with a "come on over" invite, I did and have never looked back. Thank you.

Benzmac, Nice going ! Seems like you
are attending to the details which
will enhance customer satisfaction
quite smartly.
There is this common shop close to where I live that does bonkers business.
It is nothing too special (i imagine the mechanics do their thing at a reasonable price) but they offer to pick up customer cars to whoever desires. Seniors really go
for this ! Don't forget that part of the
market made up of seniors.
also... how about a pager , message capable, for each customer so that you can efficiently contact them in case you need an o.k. for extra work or just have them come in and pick up the car ? This cuts down phone tag and delays.
good luck.

Good Luck with your new venture! You guys have made my first MB experience even better. You provide information that we couldn't extract from the factory using Sodium Pentathol administered by the Masad!
I'm hoping that along with your standard service (which many of us would drive quite a few hours to get to) that you eventually develop a "super-tuning" program at a reasonable cost. Maybe a custom chip or ECM programming service. Heck, we've driven from NY to Decatur, Indiana to see John Ligenfelter...Atlanta is just a 14 hour ride...with the ride home being even better.
Maybe later some regional franchises (first one here in the NE PLEASE), Left coast, etc...
Thanks for being here and helping us out!
Your serivices are the BEST and greatly appreciated.
Gary

Many great ideas here, we are going to set a state of the art network. The pager idea is a cool one. We may look into this.

We are in negotiation on opening more than one, but we are going to FOCUS on this shop first to make it fly.

We are thinking of a dyno and tuning capabilities. Stay tuned.....

Donnie & Bill

The *best* of luck on your new venture! Given the broad and deep knowledge you have on Mercedes, I'm sure you will continue to have many happy paytrons. I only wish you were closer to Seattle!

Donnie and Bill,

Congratulations on your upcoming shop. If it's at least 20% as good as the work you both do on this online community, it will be a total smash hit.

Good luck,
Larry Bible

I'm sure the both of you will have a Life-Long list of dedicated Customers!! :D :D

Any chance that your shop could represent Kleemann (compressor's)in Denmark as an Authorized Distributor/Outlet? If you follow the Hotrod Forum, I'm sure you realize the demand in the US for a solid product that doesn't compromize longevity and that does not a require a second morgage on the house! (Not sure what they might cost?)

Just a (wishful) thought, I would wish you both luck, but you don't need it!

Funny you should ask...
We have already made an initial contact with Kleemann. They responded that they are not quite ready to enter the US market but hope to do so very soon.

Thanks to everyone for wishing our success. Too bad all of you don't live near Atlanta! Regardless, Donnie and I would really like to meet you whenever you are in Atlanta. Our house is your house...or maybe it should be our shop is your shop.

Good luck with your new shop! Given your knowlege of Mercedes-Benz and customer service evident in the MercedesShop.com forum, I am sure your new business will do very well.
Please keep California in mind when you open more shops. :) There are lots of Mercedes on the road here, especially in LA and the San Francisco Bay Area.
Best wishes,
