Window won't go down 94 SL500

Hi All,

I have a 94 SL500 and the passenger window will not go down either using the window switch or the switch to to bring down the convertible top. I've pulled the door covers out exposing the inside of the door. I do not hear the motor engaing with pusing either switches (window & convertible top). I've tried measuring with a Fluke multimeter if it shows any current going through and none (testing both green and black wires). Is there anything else I've missed? I checked the main fuse box and nothing says window. Any help would be great.

Thanks
GP

More details on the passenger window not going down problem, I pulled out the door panel and saw the wires (green & black) going to the window motor. I checked continuity and it checks out, I also took a small battery that has 12.30 Volts charged on it and tried to manually connect it to the green & black and vice versa and nothing, no sound or movement. Now would it be safe to assume that the motor is gone (i.e. shot, done, dead).

Next thing I check was the window switch, that I know does work because when pushing the up and down window switch there is a noticeable click in the rear passenger cabinet compartment. Like a relay sounding click, I opened up the passenger compartment and found what looks like a brain of some type that I have no idea what it controls. Also noticed that when pushing on the driver window there is the same click click sound in the brain but the drivers windown goes down, but the passenger does not.

Any suggestions will be great

Thanks GP

Hi. THIS IS EXACTLY THE SAME PROBLEM I'M HAVING on my 1991 SL500. The passenger window won't go down, but I do hear a click in the rear passenger quarter area. What did you do to fix this?
