When first started the 2-3 shift "flares", rpms jump about 500. Once the car is at normal operating temperature, the flaring more or less disappears. Adjusting the modulator reduces the flaring when cold, but at the expense of much firmer shifts in other gears. With A/C on when car is cold there is no flaring. What could cause this? Is this something to be concerned about?
