What are the codes and meanings for 190E, 2.6L, 1988 & 300E, 1988,

I have a 92 190E 2.6 and would like to know what the codes are.

The list is long. On your '88 there is a led reader by the battery for fault problems. You use the button and count the blinks. A mechanic than can tell you what the fault code problem is.

Call Mercedes I think they have a book on this. 1-800-MERCEDES.
This number is for the US. Perhaps, someone knows the number where you are.

The flat spot beside the button is the LED. It looks like pin 2 filled in. Key on, engine off, hold down the button for two seconds then count blinks. Hold down the button for two seconds then count the next set of blinks, etc. Hold down the button for 10(?) seconds to clear each code after reading it.
