A friend of mine just got a SL500 and wants to disable the airbags. Is there a simple and non-destructive way to disable the air bags on this car? We would like to do it in way that it can be un-done at a later time and also not to disable the SRS on the seatbelts.

His wife is very small in size and she is afraid of the air deploying in a crash and hurting her.

I'm not a big fan of disabling the bags, but in this case I can understand.

Thanks
