W124, 92 400E, windsheild washer heater thermostated?

Yes, I did the search for windsheild washer fluid heater coil, but there seems to be conflicting information about the coil being thermostated or not and I would like to know before I take mine apart. Does anyone know for sure if it is thermostated or not for W124, 92 400E. My windshield washer fluid gets very hot, sometimes it boils the washer fluid, I have not noticed it before and I want to take care of it, I do not wish to bypass the coil.
I guess by my description of the problem I have answered yes (it is thermostated) to my question but stil I want a confirmation from someone who knows. Thanks all.
